NAME: AidenAGE: 30+
CONTACT:
CHARACTER(S): Tighnari
IC
NAME: TingyunAGE: Approx. 200-225
SUITABILITY: Tingyun is of age both physically and mentally, so she will not have a problem here! That aside, Tingyun has no desire to return home, because she has nothing to return to. She's also very friendly and outgoing, so she will have no issues with making friends and taking on new lovers and partners here in the resort! As an Amicassador in canon, she spends much of her time scouting out and forming alliances with many other worlds and factions, so it's very easy for her to fit into new environments.
As far as the sexual aspect goes, Tingyun is a relatively young (by her race's standards), and virile woman, with a healthy libido and an enjoyment of sex. After the initial shock of arrival wears off, she'll have no problem engaging in sexual activities in order to survive here, make money, and collect cards. Even the ranking system shouldn't pose issues; though she's used to living in luxury, Tingyun had to work her way up to being the representative of a merchant's guilt. If need be, she can work her way back up again.
CANON: Honkai: Star Rail
CANON POINT: Post patch 1.2
ABILITIES:
• Lightning: Tingyun is able to channel and manipulate lightning and electricity to a decent level, able to imbue her attacks with a bit of a zap. She is also able to channel it through others as well, giving her allies a little bit of lightning in their own damage.
• Soothing Melody + Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds: Tingyun is able to use charms to refresh and rejuvenate the people around her. This does not heal wounds, but it does restore "energy" to her targets, giving them a bit of a boost of vigor, as well as buffing their damage output. She is able to apply these to herself, as well.
• General Combat: While Tingyun is capable of fighting, she is admittedly not very good at it, and would much prefer to stand in the back lines buffing her friends. Still, if cornered, she is able to fight with her fan, though on her own she's not likely to last long.
VICES:
Physical: Despite being taught combat by her military aligned parents, Tingyun was never good at it, was never able to excel in martial arts, and prefers instead to buff and strengthen those around her with charms. In a one on one fight, she'd not be able to defend herself very well. She's not terribly strong, and relies on others to assist her through any physical altercations, and she would much rather come to terms with words rather than blows. When taking a hit in game, she'll often say "Can we talk?" rather than getting angry.
All of this to say, she's quite weak in body, and can be easily overcome by a group, or even one single person who is even decently strong. Her parents hoped she might follow in their footsteps and pursue a military career, but that was never her ideal path.
Materialistic: Tingyun loves things. Even in her splash art she is surrounded by gold and trinkets, and she's also incredibly vain when it comes to personal body care as well. She takes excellent care of her tail to make sure it's as fluffy and soft as it can possibly be, and takes great pride in her appearance. Her clothing enough is evidence as well, she wears a fine dress with a very nice jade bracelet and several gold accessories on her body and in her hair. Tingyun loves to shop, and can't pass up a shiny hair clip or high quality makeup when she has the chance to grab it, and she's very finicky about the quality of her items as well. She loves to live in luxury.
Avarice: Well, she is the head representative of a merchant's guild, after all! Though she's not quite avaricious enough to harm others for her own personal gain, Tingyun will do what she must to make coin, when she needs to, up to and including selling photos of influential persons without their express consent. She's a capitalist at heart, and though she prefers talk over fighting, she'll still do her best to sell ice to a snowman if the situation calls for it, and she'll stop at nothing in order to forge an alliance that she thinks may be necessary.
VIRTUES:
Charisma: Tingyun is an incredibly charming young woman, with a silver tongue and a knack for persuasion. As a merchant representative, it is up to her to forge trade alliances, so she must be charismatic and sharp, able to read her companions well and act appropriately. She is well liked by her peers and coworkers alike, and she has many, many friends both on the Luofu as well as across the galaxy. She's very warm and gregarious, good at making friends with people and forging important, heartfelt connections, and there are few across the Luofu that do not know her face. This is one of the things that makes her an excellent ambassador for her people, and her energy is all but contagious to everyone around her.
Intelligence: She's one smart cookie! In order to do her job well, Tingyun must be perceptive and intelligent, able to gauge situations and moods well. She's sharp, intuitive, and quick on her feet, always able to turn almost any given situation around in her favor. She's quick witted and able to pick up on little subtleties with ease, and can suss out problems effortlessly. Though she's absolutely intelligent in many ways, it is her emotional intelligence that is strongest - highly empathetic and warm, Tingyun is able to very easily weave genuine connections with others.
Generosity: Tingyun is an exceptionally generous person, as if quite evident when you go through many of her things in the game, and find that a great many of her fancy baubles and items are in fact gifts for other people. She's very giving, and happy to share her wealth around with whoever might need it, and she's always thinking of friends when she buys things. Gifting is absolutely one of Tingyun's love languages, and even if you're only an acquaintance, she's likely to buy you a little something on her travels if it sparks her fancy. Even for rivals, she is quite giving, and it's easily one of her most memorable traits.
SURVEY
▶ I REGULARLY MAKE NEW FRIENDS.
▷ 5. I make friends very easily! In fact, it's kind of my job, isn't it? As an Amicassador, it's important that I'm able to reflect the Luofu's welcoming attitude, and forge plenty of new trade alliances for us. I love meeting new people.
▶ SEEING OTHER PEOPLE CRY MAKES ME WANT TO CRY TOO.
▷ 4. Oh, this is a little embarrassing, but.. yeah, I suppose it's true. I'm a bit of an empathetic crier. Though I'd much rather do what I can to comfort the person in question!
▶ I OFTEN MAKE A BACKUP PLAN FOR A BACKUP PLAN.
▷ 3. Backup plans can be essential, but I don't really go overboard. Having a reliable plan is good, but tying yourself up in knots over it just isn't worth it, right?
▶ I USUALLY STAY CALM, EVEN WHEN UNDER A LOT OF PRESSURE.
▷ 3. This really depends. I can keep my cool under even the most high pressure negotiations with high profile clients, but other times.. like if someone I know gets hurt? I'm maybe not the best in an emergency situation, though I'll always do what I can.
▶ I AM VERY SENTIMENTAL.
▷ 5. I keep way, way too many things, that's for sure! A lot of them are just things I think are pretty, but I definitely have a hard time letting go of gifts from friends, or very fond memories.
▶ EVEN A SMALL MISTAKE CAN CAUSE ME TO DOUBT MY OVERALL ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE.
▷ 2. Everyone doubts themselves sometimes, but.. I think it's important to learn from your mistakes and move forward. Maybe after crying about it a little bit, first.
▶ I AM MORE INCLINED TO FOLLOW MY HEAD THAN MY HEART.
▷ 3. Both are important to follow! I try not to rely on or neglect either one. Being analytical is an important skill, but intuition and heart can be equally reliable in the right situations.
▶ I AM PRONE TO WORRYING THAT THINGS WILL TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORSE.
▷ 2. Not really. I worry sometimes, sure, just like anyone, but I wouldn't call myself pessimistic. Even if things do often go wrong, it won't help me to dwell on it, so I try to stay positive as often as I can.
▶ I ENJOY WATCHING PEOPLE ARGUE.
▷ 1. Absolutely not! Honestly, arguments make me nervous, and I'm a firm believer that there's nothing that can't be solved through a good, honest talk. It's important to listen, and to be heard.
▶ I TEND TO AVOID DRAWING ATTENTION TO MYSELF.
▷ 2. Well, I wouldn't say I try to be flashy on purpose, but.. I do enjoy attention, and being looked at. After all, I work hard to look my best at all times, someone else might as well appreciate it, besides myself!
▶ I OFTEN DO THINGS AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT.
▷ 2. I think I'm pretty good about getting things done in a timely manner. The more quickly I finish my tasks, the more quickly I can enjoy some tea with a friend, or some quality time with my pets!
▶ I FIND IT EASY TO EMPATHIZE WITH A PERSON WHOSE EXPERIENCES ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM MINE.
▷ 5. Absolutely. Everyone's experiences are different, and in order to get along it's absolutely vital that we all do our best to understand one another. Even similar people can have very different opinions, and making sure that everyone is heard is essential. I'm pretty good at empathizing with.. basically anyone, really.
▶ I BECOME BORED OR LOSE INTEREST WHEN THE DISCUSSION GETS HIGHLY THEORETICAL.
▷ 4. Okay, okay, this is probably true.. If it's a subject I'm really interested in, then I can get pretty involved, but most of the time? Yeah.. I'd rather be out doing things.
▶ I RARELY FEEL INSECURE.
▷ 3. I'd like to think I'm no more secure or insecure than the average person, but I do my best to do everything I can to make myself feel more confident. It's one of the reasons I take care of myself so much! The only thing I'm really insecure about is my martial skill..
▶ I AM STILL BOTHERED BY MISTAKES I MADE A LONG TIME AGO.
▷ 2. I have a few regrets, sure, but for the most part I try to live for the moment rather than dwelling in the past. Learning from mistakes is one thing, but allowing them to drag you down isn't really ideal for anyone, right? And it won't make it any easier to move forward, either.
